Sound trip

One Sunday dawn about a year ago, we traveled the highway of Bukidnon just to hear the 8 a.m. mass at the Monastery of Transfiguration.
We chose to listen to an upbeat music to keep us awake and lively and changed CD from Queen to George Michael to Swing Out Sister to Brownman Revival to Bob Marley and vise-versa.

Kala nyo lang ha. Syempre kanta rin kami.
Singing as if we are inside a karaoke bar. Eh dalawa lang kaming nag biya-biyahe. Amin ang lugar pare!
Then he said, “pag nag concert yan sa Pinas, manonood talaga ako.”

Sagot ko “talaga lang ha!.”

(Flashback) .... Can’t recall if it’s along EDSA or on our way to Cellos in Katips when we opted to change the CD.
That was years ago.
Wala lang trip lang palitan ang CD na nakasalang.
Kanta kanta lang… breakout, fooled by a smile, Am I the same girl, you on my mind.

Like most of the generation now, di nila gets ang music na yan dude.
Friends grew up enjoying Julia Fordham, Mandy Moore and Incubus, all those mentioned already performed in Manila the past two months.

Finally, after how many years of listening to their songs, from pirated CDs to MP3s, one of Britain’s famous duo will be performing next month at the Araneta Coliseum.

One of his dream concerts to watch has finally come true!
Lakas mo talaga kay Lord tsong!
Salamat rin sabi ko, para naman di mo na gagawing drums ang ulo ko pag nag mamaneho ka. Nyahahaha!

Ayan na, may Swing Out Sister Philippines Tour na!
Kaso sabi mo “Taena mahal naman ng ticket nila!”
Teka lang ha, eh almost 20 years ago na last performance nila at the PICC.

For the April 7 concert, reserved seats ranges from P2,625 to P4,935 c/o TicketNet.
Pakshet mahal nga. Isang ticket lang equivalent promo airfare na.

Sige na nga, soundtrip na ulit tayo.

... Am I the same girl you used to know
Why don't you stop
And think it over
Am I the same girl who knew your soul?
I'm the one you want
And I'm the one you need
I'm the one you love

... All the flowers would grow
From the seeds we'd sow
There's no one but you on my mind

... Fooled by a smile

You regret, won't forget what you've left behind
Lies that leave you cold insideWith a pain to hard to hide

... Don't start to ask
And now you've found a way to make it last
You've got to find a way
Say what you want to say
Breakout!!!

Here’s one for you and one for me.

Ooooooops may ticket na. Look, look, look.
Snacks na lang kulang.

Tapos sa April 10 may Duran Duran na naman.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Sound trip ulit...

...Pretty looking road I try to hold the rising flood that fill my skin
Dont ask me why Ill keep my promise Ill melt the ice
Dont save a prayer for me now, save it till the morning after....

...The reflex is an only child, he's waiting in the park
The reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the park....

Hhmmm.... meeting you with a view to a kill
Dance into the fire
When all we see is the view to a kill!
