How to beat a typhoon

I admit I hate rain. I hate being under the mercy of an umbrella much more slowly and carefully walk like a robot protecting your shoes and your feet from getting soaked.

Ended up one of those freaking MRT riding-public one rainy night in Manila. Honestly I would say it was one great rainy-date, not even Typhoon Falcon’s heavy downpour can beat that unconventional date.

When you embrace positivity in life, you might end up accepting the rain. After all, there are many things to do while there is bagyo.

Rainy Day 1 | Feast on a nice Japanese meal at Mogu Japanese resto at Serendra, Bonifacio High Street and end your night with a yummy gelato from Gelatissimo Café also in Serendra.

Rainy Day 2 | Go Mediterranean and enjoy the best tasting Beef Kebab at Gilak by Hossein at Greenbelt III, Ayala Center, Makati.

Rainy Day 3 | Go local, savor a hot Almondigas soup, veggie-pasta salad and yogurt of Pancake House at Greenhills San Juan or have a spare-ribs rice meal from Mann Hann also in Greenhills.

Rainy Day 4 | Watch a movie at Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City and dine at C2 Classic Cuisine afterwards.

Rainy Day 5 | Fill your tummy with a sumptuous Crab Maritess from Red Crab Café at Level 1, Gateway Mall, Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.

That's at least five food trips while battling Typhoon Falcon. I missed the Banchetto night market, though. There will always be a next time and the next time will be very enjoyable – minus MRT and the rain. Yes! I can proudly say, I defeated Typhoon Falcon. Binge-eating warrior!
